1896 ~ Diocesan Inspection Report

Ruislip Church of England School
The Diocesan Inspection Report
- 1896 -

The May edition of the Parish Magazine reported on the Diocesan inspection carried out in March:

On March the 3rd Rev. H.C. Batterbury inspected the School, and afterwards sent in the following Report for Managers:-

“Much diligent work has been done in Division I., and a good examination has been passed; some of the children answered very well, but the teaching should be more practical in character, and the intelligence of the children more fully developed.

“In Division II. the facts of the lessons were generally well known; I should like to find the Scripture knowledge more thoughtful, and the repetition more intelligently said.

“Division III. is in very good order, and is correctly and intelligently taught.”
