1982 - Charlbury

The autumn term residential trip for the
Fourth Year Juniors (Year 6) was to Charlbury
from Thursday, 14th to Saturday, 16th October.
The Youth Hostel was once a glove factory and had its own museum.

Set in beautiful countryside, there were plenty of cross country walks ...

including one to the remains of the Roman Villa at North Leigh
with plenty to see along the way...

and somewhere to sit when the legs got tired.

Eventually the destination was in sight ...

followed by the long walk back!

Packed into the three days there were also visits to churches
(anybody recognise them?)

Also Blenheim Palace
(and the gift shop!)

This photograph suggests a call was also made to Oxford.
