1982 ~ Christmas Plays

For many years each Junior class produced a play to perform during the last week of the Christmas term.
The first play to be performed in 1982
was by Class 2 on 15th December
They had decided
to write their own play - first a competition to find the best story, and then divide up the story and work in groups to produce the dialogue.

Songs were written and set to music.
Creation of props and resourcing costumes followed.

The result was 'The Four Friends'.

Unfortunately no photographs
have yet come to light,
but we reproduce here the programme.

On the 17th Class 5, Mrs Harrild's mixed Year 3 and 4 class,
gave their performance. The subject of their play is unknown
- but they were usually very humorous.

On the 20th December Mr Scott's Class 1 (Year 6) performed their play -
something about Tilly the Turkey laying an egg!
